I grew up with little computer experience. I also grew up with some bit of curiosity, but many times I let the fear of the unknown keep me from exploring.
I used to ask some of the geek friends that I had about some few computer tricks, and many times their responses would sound so gibberish, as if the whole computer world was a mystery meant for only guys with black hoodie.
In the university, I eventually studied Chemistry, and graduated with a first class honors. While I was in my fourth year, I stumbled upon MOOC's (Massive Open Online Courses). The content of these courses exposed me to a world that I had shut myself against. The world of possibility with software, data, and answers to my curiosities. Very soon, I found out that many of the mystical topics that I thought were complex were not beyond my understanding grade.
While trying to absorb every information from these platforms, especially trying to break into machine learning, I discovered I lacked two things. I lacked foundational knowledge about how computers worked, and I lacked a structured syllabus that will make me proficient and top level. I discovered ALX software engineering program and the program provided solutions to both problems.
Now, I want to write and simplify many concepts that I encounter in today's tech world and make it simpler for my readers. I am deelight.del.
